Moving from Dubbo, N.S.W. in 1967 Tony Furney purchased a concrete and gravel plant. Tony ran this successful business, incorporating building and plumbing supplies along with steel sales. In 1980 Tony sold the concrete plant to BMG who were later taken over by Boral.
Tony held onto the building & plumbing arm of the business with a view of expanding the engineering side of the business in which his true passion lay. With his two sons working their way up from the bottom, Tony, Anthony and Mark now manage the diverse and ever expanding business that encompasses the following departments:
• Building & plumbing supplies
• Metal fabrication
• Manual & CNC machining – manufacturing
• Mine supply store – located at Ulan
• EWP hire
